Charles Bridge and Prague Castle
Charles Bridge and Prague Castle
Most of visitors come to Prague only for a weekend. In one day, I can show you round the city in a rather superficial way, but as the city is small, it is possible to walk through the historical centre from Prague Castle, through the Lesser Town, across Charles Bridge and through the Old Town, so that you can see the "musts" and even have a nice cup of coffee/tea in the square or a light lunch. By 5 p.m. you may feel like putting your feet up before going out for dinner or to the opera/concert.
A two or even three day tour of Prague enables you to concentrate more in detail on the history and art of each of the four historical towns of Prague. There would be time to visit some of the museum/gallery collections and some places on the outskirts of Prague, like the charming museum of W.A.Mozart or that of A.Dvořák, the renaissance house at Hvězda or the chateau at Troja. I can even prepare tours specialised in certain periods/styles, like art nouveau or modern architecture, Jewish Prague, cubist art and architecture, baroque art and architecture etc.
